Sawade is a traditional Berlin company and the city’s oldest praline manufacturer, founded in 1880. Ladislaus Maximilianus Ziemkiewicz, who had learned the art of making fine pralines in France, founded his manufactory in the center of Berlin at that time. Today, production is located in Reinickendorf. Once a court purveyor to Prince Georg of Prussia, Sawade continues to impress with excellent quality and the best natural ingredients. It is important to note: Sawade consistently refrains from using artificial flavors, chemical preservatives, and palm oil. Furthermore, their marzipan delicacies are 100 percent made from their own raw marzipan mass derived from roasted Mediterranean almonds.

Sawade Factory Outlet: First-Class Pralines at Factory Prices

The Sawade factory outlet is located right next to the manufactory and offers chocolate fans the opportunity to purchase high-quality pralines and chocolate products at particularly affordable prices. There are fresh overproductions and products with minor flaws, such as slight weight deviations or broken nuts and kernels, which do not affect the taste. If you look closely: Prices at the factory outlet are up to 50 percent cheaper than in regular retail. The assortment also includes high-quality pralines, truffles, pâté confectionery, and marzipan specialties, as well as seasonal items like Easter and Christmas products. The factory outlet is located between the Borsighallen and Holzhauser Straße, making it easily accessible. Also convenient: Free parking is available in the manufactory’s courtyard. It is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 18:00 and Saturday from 9:30 to 14:00.
