For those with a sweet tooth, a trip to the fruit gum company Katjes in Potsdam is worthwile. Guests can visit the glass candy factory and buy sweets at the factory outlet.

The glass candy factory of Katjes in Potsdam-Babelsberg is an amazing place, because here children can watch how candy is made. Directly next to the candy factory, fruit gums, snails made of liquorice and jelly babies are presented in the factory outlet on a colourfully designed sales floor. Lindt products and Granini sweets are available in various bag sizes.

Vegetarians will also be happy, because the Katjes company offers a veggie assortment without animal gelatine, like the Katjes green-ear bunnies. The products are produced without artificial colourings, but with natural flavours such as juices or fruit pulp.

In the candy factory you can watch through the glass wall how sweets are produced, and the production steps are clearly explained on information boards. The factory processes around 19 tonnes of sugar every day.
