The shop is run by Emmanuel Mangiapane, a trained graphic designer who designs the packaging for his bags himself. Mangiapane started out at weekly markets, sometimes with a parrot on his shoulder. The space on Bautzener Straße was originally intended as a storage and filling station and was only later converted into a salesroom. Bautzener Straße runs from Yorckstraße to Monumentenstraße and is one of the district’s quieter addresses; U7, S1, S2, and S25 stop at Yorckstraße station.

The names of these bags are original creations: “Shots in the Swinger Club” contains salty liquorice pieces, “Ick liebe Dir” (I love you) refers to cherry yogurt hearts, and there are also themed mixtures like “Murder in the English Forest” and a crime edition with a pirate figure on the packaging. Fruit gummies with cream and exotic spices are also available, as are a vegan mixture and bears in strawberry cream or orange cream. For weddings and conferences, the shop puts together candy bars and table gifts, and it supplies individual bags to supermarkets and bookstores in the city. Among Berlin’s candy stores, this is one of the most unconventional, as the selection and design come from a single source. Payment and selection are done on-site; the shop currently does not offer online ordering. However, the trip to the edge of Schöneberg is worthwhile, as hardly anyone in Berlin offers a comparable selection of wine gums.
