FC Magnet Bar

The FC Magnet Bar on Veteranenstraße was founded in 2000 as the clubhouse of FC Magnet Mitte and remains a pub with pennants on the wall and a foosball table in the basement. Five televisions and a projector screen are spread across the rooms; outside, tables are set near Weinbergspark. For Sunday crime dramas in Mitte, this means: come early, no reservations are taken.

FC Magnet Bar: Clubhouse at Weinbergspark

The FC Magnet Bar is located on Veteranenstraße in the Rosenthaler Vorstadt, a stone’s throw from Weinbergspark and Rosenthaler Platz. It was founded in 2000 as the clubhouse of FC Magnet Mitte and has retained this character: pennants, photos, and jerseys hang on the walls, and the club still trains at the sports field on Behmstraße. Tables are set on the sidewalk outside, and in summer, a lounge terrace is added.

Inside, five televisions are spread throughout the guest room, plus a projector screen for major broadcasts. In the basement, there is another room and a foosball table. Homemade snacks are available for food, such as meatballs and potato salad with sausage.

From Sunday Crime Drama to DJ Night

In addition to football, which dominates the program, “Tatort” and “Polizeiruf 110” on the big screen are also part of the venue’s repertoire. The audience is accordingly mixed: regulars from the neighborhood, club members, and people who prefer to watch crime dramas in company. On broadcast days, the bar generally does not accept reservations. Therefore, it’s worth arriving well before the start to get a good spot.

On weekends, DJs take over, and regular concerts, readings, and exhibitions also take place, extending far beyond the clubhouse theme. Payment is made at the bar, and prices remain at pub level.
