Klunkerkranich: Rooftop Club above the Roofs of Neukölln

Since 2013, the cultural rooftop garden Klunkerkranich has been located on the top parking deck of the Neukölln Arcaden. The way there leads up with the elevator and across the parking deck, then the view opens up over the southeast of the city. Upstairs, generous green spaces, wooden huts, a stage, and plenty of seating await.

The program changes constantly and ranges from concerts and DJ sets to readings and cinema, as well as markets and comedy nights. Each year, well over a thousand DJs and around 150 bands perform here. Admission usually costs around 3 Euros.

Sundowner Deck by Day, Dancefloor by Night

During the day, a sandy area, street food, and sun deck characterize the place, with families and after-work guests sitting side by side. In the evening, especially on weekends, the garden transforms into a dance floor with its own unique character.

One level higher is the club area with a dancefloor, where the music leans towards warmer and playful styles of techno, house, downtempo, and disco. It is open from March to the end of December. On clear evenings, it’s advisable to arrive early, as spots with a view of the sunset are quickly taken. The U-Bahn stops at Rathaus Neukölln directly below the building.
