The Mehringhof Theater is part of the alternative cultural center Mehringhof in Kreuzberg and has been a venue for first-class, laugh-inducing cabaret since 1985. The year-end program, featuring a cabaret review of the year, is legendary.

Since 1985, the Mehringhof Theater, located in the Mehringhof cultural center in Kreuzberg, has evolved into an important address for politically entertaining cabaret. Five evenings a week, the stage hosts cabaret, comedy, stand-up, musical cabaret, and improv theater. Unknown newcomers alternate with established artists such as Horst Evers, Volker Pispers, Ingolf Lück, Kurt Krömer, and Ingo Appelt. Comedy artists like FIL also regularly come to Kreuzberg. Here you can listen to poetry slammer, singer-songwriter, and cabaret artist Tilman Birr in his struggle for serenity, or follow how reading stage author Sebastian Lehmann attempts a “profound conversation between generations” in his program “Parental Leave”.

Also legendary, and above all, is the year-end program at the Mehringhof Theater, for which you should get tickets in good time if you want to experience this cabaret year in review. With sharp wit, perfectly fitting parodies, and stories and songs brought perfectly to the point, it dissects the past year, usually choreographed by the proven year-end dream team of Horst Evers, Manfred Maurenbrecher, Bov Bjerg, Christoph “Angela” Jungmann, and Hannes Heesch.

The Mehringhof Theater offers space for around 250 visitors, operates without subsidies, and lives exclusively from ticket sales and intermission catering. The admission prices are still moderate. Early reservation is recommended, especially for well-known artists, as the small theater quickly sells out then.
