The style is raw and unpretentious, with a beer bench outside and bottled beer inside. Nevertheless, Donau115 plays in the top league of Berlin jazz clubs. The bar consistently dedicates itself to live jazz, improvisation, and experimental music, attracting music enthusiasts from all over the world to the neighborhood. It was founded in 2012 by Niklas Alt and Chad R. Matheny, who initially simply sought a place for themselves, their friends, and the neighborhood.

Live Music Almost Every Evening in Neukölln

Donau115 is open from Tuesday to Saturday and offers concerts almost daily. Most concerts start at 20:30, and the program ranges from jazz trios to singer-songwriter evenings and experimental sound performances. Tuesdays feature the “Two-Song Tuesday” format, where a variety of artists each perform for ten minutes on stage. The most important rule: don’t be boring.
