Kanusport Spree is located on Bahnhofstraße in Grünheide, district Hangelsberg, and the street name says it all. The regional express RE 1 takes about 40 minutes from Berlin-Mitte to Hangelsberg, and from there it’s only about a five-minute walk to the rental station. Behind the property, a section of the Spree begins that is closed to boats with internal combustion engines. One-way tours with boat transport are more popular: from Fürstenwalde to Hangelsberg is about 13 kilometers and approximately four hours, while the long route from Hangelsberg to Erkner measures 26 kilometers and should only be attempted by experienced paddlers. Those who want to spread the tour over two days can stay overnight in the on-site rooms and apartments.
