The Oscar Wilde Irish Pub

Unfortunately CLOSED!!! The Oscar Wilde was the first typical Irish pub in East Berlin. This authentic pub shows sports on two large and one small screen, from football to rugby!

Since 1991, this cozy Irish pub has been located in a prominent spot on Friedrichstraße, a complete novelty in Berlin at the time, offering black Guinness beer and real Irish whiskey. Live broadcasts of sporting events are still very much at home in this authentic pub, where some of the staff even speak only English!

The Oscar Wilde presents live and in color on two large and one small screen the English Premier League, the Champions League, the UEFA Cup, as well as rugby and cricket, which fans in Berlin often struggle to find. You can always find an expert here for a chat. Especially good: A different game is always shown in the front area of the pub than in the back room.

The building dates back to 1912, giving it a very special charm. With its highly polished taps, the interior not only looks Irish, but many pieces were actually flown in from Ireland at the time.

On weekends, there are often concerts with Irish folk music and regular karaoke nights.
