Where anywhere else you check in at a hotel reception, the design and boutique hotel Sir Savigny on Savignyplatz welcomes its guests right in the middle of the library. While checking in quite informally, guests sit on a fantastic long polished wooden table in the middle of many beautiful shelves with art books just as if visiting friends.
The Sir Savigy is with its 44 rooms a is rather small and intimate boutique hotel, which almost immediately was incorporated in the official "The Design Hotel Book". It is a young, urban luxury boutique hotel for world citizens with a demand for good design.
The concept is personal, the guest should be perceived as an individual. The hotel lives a welcoming culture "like friends", says the young hotel manager Julius Anders. The house hosts events, readings, concerts, art exhibitions, everything open to the public.
The culinary heart of the young hotel is the in-house restaurant "The Butcher" (Kitchen & Bar), which serves up to one o'clock in the morning high-quality burgers and regional dishes. The quality meat used in the open show kitchen for the burgers comes from Scotland.
The 44 rooms and suites are individually and luxuriously designed and available in four categories, from the smallest guest room Sir Petit (13sqm) to the spacious suite. Unlike other design hotels that focus on purism or minimalism, Sir Savigny looks sumptuous and aristocratic with fine, handcrafted furniture, upscale fabrics and textiles.
The building with its aristocratic flair was built at the turn of the century as a spacious residential building and is located on Savignyplatz in the heart of City West in the Art Nouveau district of Berlin-Charlottenburg. Sir Savigny is a member of Sir Hotels.
