Easter Holidays at Ökowerk Berlin: Explore Spring Instead of Staying Home

The Ökowerk offers children between seven and twelve years old a varied programme during the Easter holidays. Daily, participants explore the nature of Grunewald, which awakens to new life in spring. Joint building, crafting, and tinkering are on the agenda, as are exciting games and discoveries, led by experienced environmental educators. So, anyone looking for a children’s programme during the Berlin Easter holidays that is more than just screen time will find two weeks of green activities at the Ökowerk.

There are a total of two sessions: The first takes place from March 30 to April 2, the second from April 7 to April 10. The Easter holidays run from Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, with a maximum of 14 children per group. This intentionally keeps the supervision small, benefiting each child’s urge to explore.

In-depth Nature Experience: What Makes Ökowerk So Special

Under the guidance of environmentally educated adults, children explore natural phenomena on the Ökowerk grounds or in Grunewald. Around Ökowerk Berlin in Grunewald, plenty of discoveries await curious researchers. With a bit of luck, the common toads will still be migrating and reveal themselves to the adventurous groups. Furthermore, the Easter holiday programme can be wonderfully combined with a walk by Teufelssee.

While the weekly theme provides a framework for the group’s activities, children can also contribute their own wishes. A warm lunch is not offered; instead, each lunch break becomes a welcome opportunity for an individual lunchbox picnic in the open air. Should the weather not cooperate, common rooms at the Ökowerk are always available. As experience shows that places are quickly taken, early registration is highly recommended.
