Holiday Care for Children in Brandenburg: Nature, Animals, and Real Adventures
The Kinderland Schorfheide Children’s and Youth Education Center is located northeast of Berlin in Brandenburg and has been offering holiday camps, summer camps, and youth camps for children and teenagers since 2009. The site covers approximately 80,000 m² of natural landscape, embedded in Germany’s largest contiguous forest area. What awaits children here during the 2026 summer holidays goes far beyond classic holiday care. On the premises, there is an equestrian center with 16 school horses, a petting zoo with a cow, goats, and sheep, as well as climbing facilities and a large playground. As a recognized non-profit youth welfare provider, economic aspects are not the priority, ensuring that even families with a smaller budget receive a great program at fair prices.
Kinderland Schorfheide: The Camps at a Glance
During the Berlin and Brandenburg summer holidays, holiday camps are offered for children and teenagers aged 6 to 16. The price, starting from 399 EUR, includes accommodation, full board, and a varied project-specific program. There are six different themed formats to choose from: The Riding Holiday Light is aimed at beginners aged 6 to 10 with one riding session daily, while the Riding Holiday Classic offers advanced riders aged 10 and up twice-daily riding lessons in theory and practice. Additionally, there is the Explorer and Survival Camp for young natural scientists who love exciting experiments in science and technology, an English Camp, a Fishing Camp with the acquisition of a youth fishing license, and a Kicker Camp with the acquisition of the DFB technical badge. All camps with availabilities can be viewed online on the website.
The site is only a short hour’s drive from Alexanderplatz and best reached by car via the A11.
