The wooden tables are arranged so that the on-site playground can be kept in sight from almost anywhere.

For children, the playground is the real reason for visiting: digging, climbing, and coming to the table in between when the food is ready. Meanwhile, parents sit with grilled sausage or smoked trout, and no one has to rush.

Excursion around Châlet Suisse

The location at Im Jagen 5 is directly on the edge of the forest. From here, walks lead to Domäne Dahlem or Jagdschloss Grunewald, both of which can be easily combined with a visit. Those with a dog will find the Grunewald dog exercise area right next door.

The beer garden is primarily open during the warmer half of the year, while the restaurant is open all year round. On sunny weekends, the area fills up early; if you want to be sure of a table, arrive early or make a reservation.
