The Brecht restaurant was the main bar of the famous German poet and playwright Bert Brecht. The steakhouse is centrally located on Schiffbauerdamm, in the immediate vicinity of Brechts theater, the Berliner Ensemble.

In the late summer of 2016, the restaurant was redesigned and reopened with a new concept as a steakhouse. Whether Wagyu Rib Eye or Porterhouse Steak, steak lovers can make the most of their choice and choose between exquisite meats. The gourmet meat is prepared on lava stone grills, which give the meat a delicate crust and fine roasted aromas.

Tomahawk Dry Age, Double Flank & Co are served with onion jam, carrots with grated coconut or ratatouille with ginger. Real BBQ classics can also be found on the menu, including the Brechts burger with sweet potato fries, Iberico spare ribs or braised leg of lamb with polenta and green beans. Also fish comes on the grill, such as tuna steak, king prawns or in the form of grilled lobster. At the vegetarian barbecue, friends of meatless barbecue enjoyment get their money’s worth. Artichokes, zucchini and other vegetables are served grilled.

In line with the international grilled specialties, wines from Chile, South Africa, California or Argentina are served. The restaurant is within walking distance of the station Friedrichstraße and offers its menu in German, English and Spanish.

Tip of the Top10 team: The terrace with Spreeblick is open all year round.
