Orta Mezze & Bar: Aegean Meze in Moabit
“Meze. Rakı. Muhabbet.” is the motto of Orta on Wilsnacker Straße in Moabit, meaning Meze, Rakı, and good conversations. Since 2023, the modern Meyhane has been serving Turkish-Aegean cuisine inspired by Izmir and the Aegean coast. Dishes are shared, evenings can be long, and for larger groups, there’s a dedicated meze menu.
Cunda Cacık, Karides Tava and Baklava with Ice Cream
The menu features small dishes such as Cunda Cacık, a thick yogurt cream in the style of Cunda Island, Karides Tava, pan-fried shrimp, and Tavada Meyhane Köfte. The Gavurdağ Salatası, made with tomatoes, bell peppers, and walnuts with pomegranate syrup, is fresh. For dessert, there’s Baklava with ice cream. Rakı, Turkish wines, and cocktails pair well with the food. Reservations can be made by phone or email, and the team also handles catering and group events.
