The name Chén Chè stands for a bowl filled with delicacies. Thus, the tea house Chén Chè in Berlin-Mitte at Rosenthaler Platz presents the variety of Asian tea in combination with Vietnamese food and dishes, as it is tradition in large tea houses in Asia.

At the tea house traditional dishes from the cuisine of North Vietnam are offered. In addition there is a daily changing menu. Here, for example, you will find two kinds of chicken, tender chicken breasts and spicy chicken legs in red curry coconut cream or warm rice noodle salad. The tea is accompanied by typical Vietnamese pastries and desserts, which are produced in the company’s own family bakery.

A tea hour is held daily from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Chén Chè Tea House. A pot of green organic Sencha tea is presented on a wooden tray and three different delicacies from the in-house bakery are served with it. The Chén Chè tea house sees itself in the tradition of Vietnamese tea culture. The quality and origin of the tea is of great importance here. The green tea in this tea house comes from an old-established Japanese tea farmer family. Various brewing techniques are used, the ginger tea for instance has a brewing time of several hours.

The tea house Chén Chè also offers a traditional Asian tea ceremony, for which one should have some time. For such a tea ceremony with a tea master a reservation in advance is necessary.
