In Biesdorf Palace Park, far from Berlin's city center, guests at Café Schloss Biesdorf can sit on the terrace with views of well-maintained gardens, while inside, stucco-decorated ceilings and historic vaults transform coffee breaks into a journey through time. Since early 2025, a new team has been providing homemade cakes and coffee specialties in Marzahn-Hellersdorf's most beautiful sunlit café.
Café Schloss Biesdorf: Coffee with a View in the Palace Park
The 15-hectare palace park with its pond, historic ice cellar, expansive lawns, and valuable old trees forms the backdrop for Café Schloss Biesdorf. If you’re looking for a sunny café in Berlin that feels far away from the city noise yet is easily accessible, you’ll find it here. Located halfway to Brandenburg but still only 20 minutes from the city center, this place is always a surprise. The Biesdorf S-Bahn station or the Elsterwerdaer Platz U-Bahn stop will comfortably get you there.
Situated in the heart of the palace park, the café combines historic charm with cozy serenity. Inside, guests sit under high ceilings; outside on the terrace, they enjoy views of the gardens. Especially on sunny days, the outdoor terrace is one of the most beautiful café spots in eastern Berlin. In addition to changing exhibitions at the Kommunale Galerie, the historic ambiance offers delicious, homemade cakes and fresh coffee specialties.
New Team, Fresh Coffee, and Sunny Prospects
First art, then coffee and cake: This has been possible again at the exhibition house in Berlin-Biesdorf since early 2025. As a women-led business, the café places great emphasis on quality and service. The menu features small meals, freshly baked cakes, and coffee specialties. The team serves lovingly prepared classics, and the warm, casual atmosphere makes the house a meeting point for families, strollers, and those seeking peace. Furthermore, the café can be booked for private parties and events: Weddings also find a special setting here, whether on the idyllic castle terrace or in the garden foyer. The palace café is open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10:00 to 18:00, and Fridays from 12:00 to 21:00.
