Sun-drenched café on Weinbergsweg in Mitte: With its sunny terrace and French family recipes, Café Fleury brings a piece of Paris to Berlin. If you're looking for a Café au Lait with a croissant in the morning and a glass of wine in a quiet street atmosphere in the evening, this is the perfect place.
Café Fleury: French Breakfast with a Sunny Side
On Weinbergsweg in Berlin-Mitte, Café Fleury has stood for one thing since 2006: authentic French café culture with genuine heart. Betty and her husband have run the café since its opening, serving delicacies based on old family recipes from Betty’s French homeland. The ingredients, however, do not come from Berlin wholesalers. The breakfast and snack offerings are predominantly prepared with high-quality French products, delivered weekly directly from the Rungis wholesale market in Paris. You can taste it. The café particularly shows its strengths at breakfast: In addition to classic French breakfast, there are breakfast plates with French cheese and sausage specialties, various egg dishes, and fresh juices. Those who prefer a savory start to the day can opt for the Croque Monsieur or Quiche Lorraine, praised for its authentic taste reminiscent of Parisian cafés.
The Sun Terrace on Weinbergsweg
As soon as the sun shines, Café Fleury’s terrace is among the most sought-after outdoor spots in Mitte. The sunny side of the café faces the street, but since there is little traffic on Weinbergsweg, the atmosphere remains pleasantly quiet. This makes a difference compared to many other café terraces in the city. Especially on the terrace, you get a real France feeling in the summer. An afternoon visit is also worthwhile: Then it continues sweetly with all sorts of cakes and pastries, including a large selection of French tarts made according to old family recipes. If you can’t get a spot outside, the indoor seating is also good. Inside, a cozy atmosphere with light floral wallpaper awaits. All in all, Café Fleury is a café with sunshine in a double sense: the terrace is in the light, and so is the mood.
