The renovation of the revolving restaurant was the first comprehensive structural refurbishment since the TV Tower opened in 1969. The result was accordingly elaborate. At a height of 207 meters, the listed 1960s restaurant was sensitively transformed, featuring panoramic seats for 360-degree views, a bright central zone with sophisticated lighting, and functionally integrated bar and service niches. All of this was planned by the Stuttgart-based firm Dittel Architekten. A gastronomic experience space of 420 square meters was thus created, preserving the charm of the 1960s while simultaneously adding modern touches.

Berlin and Brandenburg on the Plate

Culinary-wise, Sphere Tim Raue focuses on clear Berlin origins. The menu deliberately features classics with Berlin DNA, reinterpreted and aromatically accentuated, with high-quality products from Berlin and Brandenburg at its core, and traditional craftsmanship stylistically further developed. Specifically, this means: dishes like Grandma Gerda’s Pork Knuckle from suckling pig, Tim Raue’s Königsberg Meatballs from veal, a spicy Solyanka with a bun, or the Berlin Schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce and parsley spaetzle. The menu is consciously aimed at everyone. While the TV Tower primarily attracted tourists in the past, it is now also intended to become a going-out location for native Berliners and Brandenburgers again.

The Sphere Tim Raue revolving restaurant rotates twice per hour, completely changing the panoramic view over Berlin during your meal. Whether at lunchtime with a clear view over the rooftops of Mitte or in the evening when the city is bathed in light, the scenery is never just in the background. Breakfast in the revolving restaurant can be booked from 49 Euros per person, while a four-course menu by Tim Raue, including aperitif and drink pairing, is available from around 170 Euros per person.
