Tomasa in der Villa Kreuzberg

Tomasa in Villa Kreuzberg utilizes the gardener's house, built by Hermann Blankenstein and Fritz Haack in 1892 during the construction of Viktoriapark. To this day, the pumps for the Kreuzberg waterfall run in the cellar. Breakfast is served in the large inner courtyard next to the petting zoo, and a covered pergola protects from rain. Breakfast amidst greenery here includes the park right next door.
Tomasa in Villa Kreuzberg at Viktoriapark
Tomasa in Villa Kreuzberg is located on Kreuzbergstraße directly at Viktoriapark. The house was built in 1892 and 1893 by Hermann Blankenstein and Fritz Haack when the 160-hectare park was created. It is a two-story gardener’s house made of red brick in the Swiss chalet style; a pergola leads to the machine house behind it. To this day, the pumps that feed the Kreuzberg waterfall operate in the cellar, and the building is protected as an individual monument. In 2002, the district sold the villa, and Tomasa has been operating it as a tenant since 2007. In summer, guests are drawn to the large inner courtyard with the adjacent petting zoo; a covered pergola makes it possible to sit outside even in the rain.
Breakfast Menu and Space for Large Groups
Several breakfast options are listed on the menu. The Tomasa Brunch costs 16.00 Euros, the sweet breakfast 11.00 Euros, plus an American Breakfast, a vegan breakfast, a vegetarian plate, and the Friedrich Wilhelm Breakfast. Later in the day, the kitchen switches to dishes like Alsatian Tarte Flambée and Veal Wiener Schnitzel. There is plenty of space: The ground floor accommodates up to 80 guests, the upper floor up to 115, plus dormer rooms, balcony rooms, and courtyard rooms, as well as a banquet hall for up to 140 people. Reservations can be made online or by phone; larger parties should contact the venue directly. Nearby, the waterfall and petting zoo await a stroll after the meal.
