The French restaurant Sucre et Sel on Torstraße in Mitte is an oasis of French hospitality.
Although the small French restaurant Sucre et Sel is located directly on the noisy and busy Torstraße, inside guests are greeted by a cozy oasis of French hospitality. In the familiar atmosphere of a typical bistro, visitors enjoy Parisian charm, delicious French specialties with a Mediterranean influence, and good wine. The small dining room has only a few closely spaced tables; the room is dominated by the bar opposite the entrance. The decoration on the natural stone walls is elaborate. The cozy lighting in the small restaurant comes, among other things, from candles on the small wooden tables.
For starters, Chèvre au Miel (goat cheese with honey, walnuts, and herbs de Provence), Fois Gras de Canard (foie gras terrine), Tartare au Saumon (smoked salmon with thyme and rosemary), or Burrata à la Méditerranéenne (burrata with tomatoes and balsamic sauce) are served. Exquisite main courses include Confit de Canard (French duck leg with fried apples and honey) or L’Escalope de Poulet (chicken breast fillet in gorgonzola-plum sauce). Typically French dishes such as Ratatouille, Quiche, soups, and Tartes Flambées (tarte flambée) are also on the menu. For dessert, friends of French cuisine are offered the typically French Tarte Tatin (caramelized apple tart with cinnamon and cream), a homemade Gâteau au Chocolat (chocolate cake), and, of course, a Crème Brulée.
The exquisite wines accompanying the menu come from various regions of France and are specially imported to Germany by the small bistro.
Top10 Berlin Tip: The cozy Sucre et Sel can also be rented for private or business celebrations.
