Kaviar Gauche's Bridal Flagship Store on Linienstraße in Mitte is the Berlin address of a label run by Alexandra Fischer-Roehler and Johanna Kühl since 2004. Garments are sewn in their own atelier in Mitte, offering custom-made designs and ready-to-wear models, along with bridal shoes, jewelry, and bags in sizes XXS to XXL.

The Flagship Store on Linienstraße in Mitte

Kaviar Gauche operates its Bridal Flagship Store on Linienstraße in Mitte, on the almost two-kilometer-long parallel street to Torstraße. The street is one of the district’s more unusual addresses because various layers of the city overlap in a short stretch: the Old Garrison Cemetery from 1706, St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church, the Royal Pawn Office from 1847, the Stettin Fire Station as Berlin’s oldest fire station, and the Museum of Silence are all located on or near this axis. The closest station is Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz; the store does not have its own parking due to its central location. The label itself was founded in 2004 by Alexandra Fischer-Roehler and Johanna Kühl, who met while studying at ESMOD Berlin and began with a guerrilla fashion show in front of the Parisian department store Colette. The company’s business headquarters are on nearby Torstraße. The label maintains a second location as a Bridal Concept Store in Munich, but Berlin is and remains the main headquarters and the place where the dresses are created.

Bridal Couture from their own Atelier in Berlin-Mitte

Kaviar Gauche ventured into bridal fashion by chance. The label started with prêt-à-porter, and a first wedding dress, called Dream Dress, was created incidentally and was so in demand that the duo specialized in bridal and occasion wear. Since 2009, a new bridal couture collection has been released annually, currently Wild Grace, and previously including Allure, Grande Fleur, Over the Moon, and Cloud Nº9, along with capsule collections like Beyond Bridal, Honeymoon, and The Suit. Sewing takes place in their own atelier in Mitte, with fabrics sourced from manufacturers in France and Italy. The store features both custom-made designs and ready-to-wear models that can be taken immediately; prices for dresses from the collection range between 1,890 and 5,490 Euros, with couture creations costing more. Sizes XXS to XXL are offered, equivalent to German sizes 32 to 44. In addition to long gowns, there are dresses for civil ceremonies, jumpsuits, short models, separates such as tops, skirts, and coats, as well as evening wear. Approximately one and a half hours are allocated for the first appointment, and one to two accompanying persons are recommended. For a custom-made garment, booking about half a year before the wedding is advisable.
