If you want to spend your anniversary on a real island, with a view on the water and unique cabin feeling, the island of Kyritz in Brandenburg is only an hour drive away from Berlin. The island is surrounded by the lake Untersee and has an almost circular shape with a diameter of around 134 meters. The “Insl” is a great summer destination and the perfect place to spend a really relaxing wedding anniversary without stress and also on a low budget.
The dishes offered by the restaurant on the island are inspired by the regional cuisine, are inexpensive and delicious. The fish comes freshly from the local fisherman, juices from the region, coffee and cakes and various lemonades are offered on the island. Since 2015 you can get married at the south bank of the island in cooperation with the Kyritz register office.
