For over 90 years, the Komödie am Kurfürstendamm has been considered one of the best addresses for sophisticated entertainment theater throughout Germany. The theater has now moved to the Schiller Theater for a transitional period.

For decades, the Komödie am Kurfürstendamm has held a firm place in Berlin’s theater scene. The program offers German and international comedies, boulevard plays, concerts, and readings. The Woellfer theater family, which has managed the traditional venue since 1950, feels committed to the genre of comedy, even if a serious play occasionally appears in the program.

For years, it has succeeded in bringing well-known film and television stars to the stage. Katja Riemann, Katharina and Anna Thalbach, Walther Plathe, Herbert Herrmann, Ilja Richter, Ursela Monn, or Maria Furtwängler perform here and can be experienced live by the Berlin audience! Full-blooded entertainers like Ulrich Tukur and his Rhythmus Boys or Gayle Tufts also enjoy making guest appearances here again and again.

Due to the renovation of the Kudamm-Karree, the theater must temporarily vacate its traditional location on Kurfürstendamm and will perform from September 23rd in its interim quarters at the Schiller Theater on Bismarckstraße. It will open with the film adaptation “Welcome to the Hartmanns”. Gesine Cukrowski and Rufus Beck can be seen in the leading roles.
