In Schöneberg, right by Kleistpark U-Bahn station, awaits a bar that literally stands out: The Train Cocktailbar is located in a restored 1920s tram carriage, complete with a gilded ceiling, chandeliers, and heated seats. Behind it opens up a covered pavilion with a lounge terrace.

Train Cocktailbar: a carriage full of atmosphere

On your first visit to the Train Cocktailbar in Berlin-Schöneberg, it takes a moment to grasp what’s actually going on. Right by Kleistpark U-Bahn station, the bar is located in an old, restored tram carriage from the 1920s. The carriage is equipped with cozy cushions and curtains, a gilded ceiling and chandeliers create atmosphere, and the wooden benches even have heated seats, which makes the whole thing especially comfortable on cold autumn and winter evenings. Such attention to detail is rarely found.

Access leads directly through the carriage where the bar is located. Behind it, a large covered pavilion with an adjacent outdoor area opens up, and in front, on a gravel terrace, there are beach loungers in a relaxed lounge style. This makes the Train Cocktailbar one of Berlin’s special bars, showing multiple faces throughout the year.

Cocktails with character and fair prices

The cocktail menu offers a versatile selection from classics like Mojito and Planter’s Punch to creative in-house creations like „Train Special” (Rum) or „Theo by Night” (Vodka). The focus is on craft cocktails, freshly prepared from scratch. You can taste it. Furthermore, a visit during the week is particularly worthwhile: on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, all cocktails are available at a special price of only 8 Euros. Thanks to its proximity to Kleistpark U-Bahn station, the bar is also easily accessible.
