I love exploring the parts of Berlin where the city comes alive. To put together this list, I went on a discovery tour across the city and checked out the best Irish pubs. I was looking for the most authentic, cozy, and, of course, lively pubs Berlin has to offer. I hope you like my selection!

Since 1979, the Celtic Cottage in Steglitz has been one of Germany's oldest Irish Pubs and far more than just a local bar. Those looking not only to drink Guinness but also to play pub quizzes and listen to live music will find a regular haunt with true character here.

No Guinness, no leprechauns: The Loch Ness Scottish Pub & Whisky Bar in Berlin-Lichterfelde is Berlin's most Scottish address, with over 800 whiskies, real draught beer from Scotland, and haggis on the menu. Those looking for an authentic pub evening will find it here.

Located in the heart of Tiergarten-Mitte, just a stone's throw from Bellevue Palace and the vast Tiergarten park, The Lir has been Berlin's most authentic Irish Pub for over 30 years. Not a tourist trap, but a genuine local's pub with Guinness on tap, solid food, and sports broadcasts on the big screen.

Less than a hundred meters from the former border crossing: Murphy's Irish Pub at Checkpoint Charlie combines Irish hospitality with one of Berlin's most famous memorial sites. Live music, a wide selection of beers, and pub classics make this a true hotspot for tourists and locals alike.

Since 2013, the Tipperary Berlin Irish Pub has been bringing authentic Irish pub culture to Wedding, specifically to the up-and-coming Sprengelkiez on Triftstraße. Live music on Saturday evenings, Pub Quiz on Mondays, and a spacious sun terrace make this Irish pub a staple in the neighborhood.

The OFFSIDE Pub & Whisky Bar in Berlin-Wedding has been one of Germany's most remarkable whisky bars since 2000 – with over 1,200 varieties behind the counter. Located very close to Gesundbrunnen S-Bahn station, this Irish Pub has the charm of a British village pub that has lost none of its originality.

The Double Inn is Oberschöneweide's Irish-Scottish answer to everything a good Irish Pub in Berlin should be: cozy across two floors, with live music, over 100 whisky varieties, and genuine regulars' pub atmosphere right in the Spreehöfe.

Berlin's oldest whisky pub is discreetly located on Schlüterstraße in Charlottenburg, just a few steps from Savignyplatz. Since 1976, the Union Jack has been serving Irish and British beers and pouring over 1,300 types of whisky.

Since 2018, Molly Malones Irish Pub in Friedrichshain has been bringing Irish hospitality to Berlin. Located right around the corner from Berghain, it's the antithesis to the techno district: cozy, loud in the right way, and with live music that truly comes from the heart.

Located in the heart of Charlottenburg, in the venerable Europa-Center on Tauentzien, sits one of Berlin's oldest Irish Pubs. Since 1982, the Irish Pub in Europa-Center has been known for live music every night, perfectly poured Guinness, and a bar that, at 36 meters, simply has no competition.
