The entrance is in the pedestrian zone opposite the large department stores, and if you head for the Kulturhaus on Mauerstraße, you’re 80 meters away, as only the evening box office and toilets are located there. It’s just a few minutes’ walk from U-Bahn stations Altstadt Spandau or Rathaus Spandau, Berlin-Spandau train station with S75, S9, and regional trains is right next door, and numerous bus lines stop in the Old Town. All around are cobblestones, half-timbered houses, and St. Nicholas Church, then suddenly silence behind the courtyard wall. The Open Air Kino Spandau is operated by Mikropolis-Film GmbH, a family business from Spandau. The venue is barrier-free; guests in wheelchairs should preferably register in advance by phone or email, and a spot will be reserved. Leashed dogs are allowed and do not pay admission. The Old Town is Berlin’s oldest preserved city center, and the courtyard is so centrally located that a stroll and a cinema visit can be easily combined.
