It's a café in the afternoon, a bar with DJs in the evening, and in the basement, you'll find the Cosmic Kaspar club. Mein Haus am See: Scene Bar at Rosenthaler Platz

Rosenthaler Platz is one of the hubs of Berlin-Mitte, and Brunnenstraße 197-198 is right next to it. Those entering Mein Haus am See for the first time don’t do so through a normal door, but through a large window facing the street. Behind it, a two-story space opens up, characterized by a wide staircase landscape where guests sit both on the stairs and at tables. Sixties-style furniture, wall art, and a padded gallery above the counter define the ambiance. Admission is free, there’s no dress code, and the audience ranges from students to creatives to neighbors from the district. Tables can be reserved in advance for groups of two to fifteen people.

From Afternoon Coffee to Cosmic Kaspar

The establishment changes its role several times throughout the day. In the afternoons, it operates as a café with an Italian coffee bar; in the evenings, it’s a bar with DJs, plus concerts, live bands, and a reading stage. In the basement is the connected Cosmic Kaspar club, designed like the interior of an airship, running its own program on weekends. Overall, the venue accommodates between fifty and four hundred guests, spread across several rooms including a party cellar, exhibition room, and smoking lounge. Mein Haus am See consciously remains affordable, with an evening costing approximately 10 to 20 Euros per person. Reserved tables are held for only fifteen minutes, after which they are given to the next guests.
