The bar is located on Grolmanstraße in Charlottenburg, just a few steps from Kurfürstendamm and Savignyplatz. Unassuming from the outside, dimly lit inside and completely adorned with modern art and Van Gogh reproductions. Anyone who enters here immediately realizes that the name says it all.

The grand piano takes center stage. It is played daily, with a repertoire ranging from classical to jazz, rock, and pop. In addition, there are cocktails and a decent selection of whiskies. It is open from Monday to Sunday from 4 PM to 3 AM, making Van Gogh one of the venues in the district where the evening doesn’t end at midnight.

Art on the Walls, Live Music at the Piano

The price level remains significantly below what the city’s large hotel bars charge, at around 10 to 20 Euros per person. Instead of a lobby backdrop, there’s a small, densely seated room where you can watch the pianist play.

Convenient for out-of-town guests: The NH Hotel Berlin Kurfürstendamm is right next door, so overnight stays and bar visits can be combined without any travel. Reservations are not required, but the room fills up early on weekends.
