Orania.Bar im Hotel Orania.Berlin

The Orania.Bar at Hotel Orania.Berlin on Oranienplatz in Kreuzberg is a hotel bar that also sees itself as the neighborhood's living room. Signature cocktails with spirits from Berlin distilleries, a color-coded menu, and live music almost every evening make it arguably the most atmospheric cocktail bar in a luxury hotel in the city.
Orania.Bar: Cocktails with Character
Whoever enters the Orania.Bar steps directly into the hotel’s so-called Living Room. The space connects reception, bar, and restaurant in an open, relaxed whole, anchored by two fireplaces, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Oranienplatz, and a raised stage with a Steinway grand piano. The ambiance is warm without being heavy. Guests tend to stay longer than planned. This is no coincidence.
The cocktail menu at the bar in Kreuzberg uses a color-coded rainbow that describes the characteristics of the drinks, from fresh to spicy. For example, the „Terra” contains bourbon whiskey with shiitake, citrus, honey, and ginger, while the „Club Side Down” with gin, orange bitters, dry curaçao, vermouth, and raspberry is particularly fresh and fruity. Bar manager Julian Berger and his team frequently use spirits from local Berlin distilleries when mixing. You can taste it, and it fits the house’s self-image.
Luxury Hotel Bar with a Kreuzberg Soul
The Orania.Berlin is managed by Jennifer and Philipp Vogel with a personal commitment that makes the hotel feel genuinely cared for, not just administered. Guests who check in have consciously chosen a modern establishment in the heart of Kreuzberg. This attitude extends to the bar. The Orania.Bar presents elaborate signature cocktails, selected wines, and popular bar classics. The rule is: the drink menu serves as inspiration, and drinks are mixed with or without alcohol, according to personal preference.
The Orania.Berlin’s music series is one of the house’s most remarkable features. Various genres such as soul, funk, and jazz are played in the intimate live performance space. On such evenings, there’s much more than just a cocktail here. The long, curved wooden bar is open from morning until evening, serving carefully prepared cocktails and a compact bar menu. Reservations are not mandatory, but on concert nights, it’s worth arriving early.
