House of Gin im Hotel Palace Berlin

The House of Gin at Hotel Palace Berlin is the gin pilgrimage site of City West: With over 150 varieties, an in-house label, and cocktails that meander between classic and experimental, this bar in the Charlottenburg luxury hotel sets the standard for everything juniper can be.
House of Gin: Berlin’s Most Famous Gin Bar in a Luxury Hotel
Between Ku’damm, KaDeWe, and the Memorial Church lies the Hotel Palace Berlin, one of the few privately managed luxury hotels in the capital and a member of the Leading Hotels of the World. Since 2015, the House of Gin Bar has been an integral part of the hotel. Its specialization in gin is unusual in Berlin and has earned the bar a loyal clientele of locals and hotel guests. The offering includes 150 different varieties from all over the world, with a focus on German craft spirits. This also includes limited editions that are hard to find elsewhere.
Many German distilleries work with regional botanicals and, for example, Riesling grapes, which give the gin a characteristic acidity. Additionally, there are gins from England, the USA, Australia, Austria, Russia, Norway, Spain, Portugal, France, Scotland, and Ireland. In short: The menu is a world tour in a glass.
Gin Flights, Signature Cocktails, and the Style of an Evening That Lingers
The best way to start is with the Gin Flight Tastings: four exceptional gins in direct comparison, accompanied by background knowledge, tips, and two carefully selected tonics. The bar team genuinely takes its time. At the bar, the team provides detailed advice on the various gins and in-house cocktails. Signature drinks include the Wildlife Warrior G&T with Elephant London Dry Gin, watermelon, and mint, or the Stay Gold G&T with Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru and gold dust. Snacks from the neighboring restaurant beef 45 are also available, and DJs play electronic beats. Cocktails cost between 15 and 20 Euros, which is a fair price for what is offered. The House of Gin Bar at Hotel Palace Berlin opens Tuesday to Saturday from 6 PM.
