NachBAR: Classic Cocktails on Maaßenstraße

NachBAR is located at Maaßenstraße 12 in Schöneberg, on the short stretch between Nollendorfplatz and Winterfeldtplatz, and has been serving drinks there since 1994. The room has a long, narrow layout: the bar runs the entire length on the left, with seating on the right. This keeps distances short and ensures that even if you’re alone at the bar, you won’t feel lost. In summer, a furnished street terrace is added, which is one of the more popular spots in this part of Schöneberg. The entrance is unassuming and gives no indication of how expertly drinks are mixed here.

Over a hundred cocktails and a menu with unique categories

The cocktail menu is the real reason for a visit. Over a hundred drinks are listed, sorted into categories that can only be found here: alongside Classics and Bubbles, there are Prominade Drinks, Quickies, an alcohol-free selection called Safe, and “Kaffeekränzchen beim Nachbarn” (Coffee Party at the Neighbor’s). The “Hexerei” (Witchcraft) category collects the house’s own creations. Freshly squeezed juices are used, which is immediately noticeable in Mojito, Caipirinha, and Strawberry Margarita. On Fridays and Saturdays, themed nights with DJs are added; on other days, it remains a bar where you can converse without raising your voice.
