The Curtain Club

The Curtain Club resembles a gateway, allowing its guests to travel into the high society of the golden 1920s. Punctually at 6:00 PM, the evening officially begins with a champagne tower for hotel guests. With this ritual, the curtains of the Curtain Club open, and both hotel guests and external visitors can enjoy the hotel’s cocktail bar, designed from start to finish in Art Deco style. Not only the interior but also the cocktail menu is curated with attention to detail for the 1920s. It offers a grand selection of refined cocktails with exciting twists for signature drinks, complete with specially created black and white videos accessible via QR code, à la Great Gatsby. Every taste is catered for here, and should guests be unable to decide, the waiters are on hand with well-founded recommendations.

A personal touch is given to the bar, among other things, by the fact that each waiter has created their own gin, which is served under their name and with its own branded gin bottle.
Until 10 PM, guests have the option to order dishes from the hotel’s restaurant or snacks from the bar menu. The selection ranges from upscale German cuisine with Sylt oysters, beef tartare, to currywurst, Königsberger Klopse, and other delicacies. In keeping with the interior design, the Curtain Club also remains true to its 1920s motto with its cutlery and glasses.

A pleasant surprise is the separate cigar room, so cleverly integrated into the hotel’s architecture that it resembles a speakeasy, found only by those who already know its location or are directed by the waiters. Thus, smokers, now often excluded from most bars, don’t have to venture into the cold to indulge their hobby; instead, they can switch at any time from the Curtain Club to the well-ventilated cigar room, a classically furnished gem with noble leather sofas, paintings, and an impressive selection of cigars, without having to give up their table.
