In the retro living-room ambiance of the bar Tanzwirtschaft Kaffee Burger, it is not unusual to hear some rather extravagant music styles like an Oriental psychedelic surf or Polish polka-pop.
Ever since the year 2000 Kaffee Burger has gradually increased its popularity above all with its party series “Russendisko” – not in the least due to the involvement of co-organizer and cult author Wladimir Kaminer.
In the meantime the location in Mitte is an institution frequented by locals and tourists alike. And even when the city was still divided, due to its proximity to the Volksbühne Theatre, it was a meeting point for well-known actors and intellectuals. Katharina Thalbach or Heiner Müller for instance were regulars here.
