Lollapalooza Berlin is the ultimate summer event in the city: for two days, the Olympic Park in West Berlin transforms into a massive stage for world-class acts, fashion, sustainability, and great food. If you want to experience Berlin's summer in its loudest, most colorful form, you absolutely have to check it out.

Lollapalooza Berlin 2026: The Biggest Summer Event in Berlin

This year, Lollapalooza takes place on July 18th and 19th and offers two full days of music, dance, and festival atmosphere. With over 60,000 visitors daily, it is simply the biggest open-air summer event in Berlin. Headliners for 2026 include Zara Larsson, Pitbull, Anitta, Lorde, Teddy Swims, Lewis Capaldi, Ayliva, Zartmann, and Tom Odell. Additional acts include Lily Allen, Boys Noize, Young Miko, The Snuts, and many more. The lineup truly covers everything: Pop, Alternative, Dance, and Electronic.

Beyond the stages, there is much more to discover on the grounds: for example, the House of Remix with an interactive creative hub of sound, fashion, and community. From glittering festival trends and a clothing flea market to a green oasis of sustainability, Fashionpalooza and the Green Kiez offer something for everyone. Kidzapalooza also provides a creative adventure playground for children of all ages, where they can craft, paint, and build. There are plenty of food options for both small and large appetites. Vegetarian and vegan food is an integral part of the offerings, as every food stand is required to offer at least one vegan or vegetarian option. Additionally, there are free drinking water stations on the grounds where visitors can refill their bottles with fresh water.

Olympic Park West Berlin: Arrival, History, and Costs

Lollapalooza was founded in the USA in 1991 and came to Berlin in 2015, initially at the former Tempelhof Airport. After a few locations, the festival found its home at the Olympic Stadium and Olympic Park. As the first European city outside the USA, Berlin is part of the Lollapalooza universe and has since expanded the festival to over 60,000 visitors per day.

The Olympic Park is located in the west of Berlin. The U2 takes festival-goers directly to the U Olympia-Stadion station, from where it’s just a short walk to the entrance. From the center of Berlin, the journey takes about 20 to 25 minutes. Regarding costs: Day tickets start from 119 Euros, weekend tickets from 214 Euros. Children between 7 and 12 years old pay only 10 Euros for the weekend, teenagers between 12 and 15 years old pay 99 Euros. This makes Lollapalooza quite family-budget-friendly, even if it’s not a cheap festival in the classic sense.
