Strandbad Plötzensee in Berlin-Wedding offers around 15.000 square metres of sandy beaches and another 40.000 square metres of recreational greens. The lake itself is a nice natural lake with lots of trees around it and at the same time a public summer pool with a tradition of 100 years of history. Freibad Plötzensee is a registered bathing beach, which means that the water quality is permanently monitored.

The number of bikes in front of the gates in summer is stunning. It’s not the right place if you are looking for some solitude and tranquility, but certainly a great day out with the family with anything from ping pong, streetball, basketball, trampolin jumping and a water slide for the kids.
