Magic Mountain Kletterhallen
The hall on Böttgerstraße at Gesundbrunnen has existed since 2002: around 2,200 square meters of climbing area, about 300 routes and walls up to 15 meters high, plus a bouldering area up to 4.50 meters grip height. Auto belay devices for top-roping and lead climbing make indoor sports possible even alone in the rain, without a partner at the other end of the rope.
Magic Mountain Climbing Gyms: 2,200 Square Meters at Gesundbrunnen
The Magic Mountain Climbing Gyms are located on Böttgerstraße in Wedding, a few steps from Gesundbrunnen station, and have been there since 2002. Approximately 300 top-rope and lead climbing routes are spread over around 2,200 square meters of climbing area, with the highest walls measuring 15 meters. Those who prefer to climb without a rope can stay in the bouldering area, where ropeless climbing is possible up to a grip height of 4.50 meters; bouldering is included in the regular admission, there is no separate fee for it. Routes and feedback are managed via a dedicated app. Children under 14 must be supervised throughout the hall; from 14 years old, independent climbing is permitted with a signed consent form.
Climbing Without a Partner, Sauna, and an Establishment with Principles
A special feature of the hall are the auto belay devices, not only for top-roping but also for lead climbing. After a brief introduction, you can climb up to 15 meters high with them, completely without a partner at the other end of the rope, which is practical for anyone who drops by spontaneously alone. Those who have never been on a wall can book a taster climbing session with a coach, family climbing, or directly a climbing license; independent climbing requires either a climbing license or corresponding experience. Equipment can be rented completely. The establishment also includes a sauna and wellness area with direct access from the changing rooms, a café with organic and regional offerings, and a climbing shop. Operations run on green electricity and eco-gas, a chalk filter system keeps the air clean, and a greywater system feeds the toilet flush.
