Family Café Emma und Paul: Play and Enjoy Under One Roof

Anyone who wants to eat out with children in Berlin knows the problem: no sooner do you sit down than the little ones want to get up again. A café visit quickly becomes a challenge for families because children feel bored sitting still. Familiencafé Emma und Paul offers a welcome alternative: here, children can romp around freely in the playroom while parents comfortably chat in the dining area. This works surprisingly well in practice. The separate playroom is primarily aimed at children between three and six years old and is equipped with a play kitchen, pirate ship, wooden train, cars, coloring books, and LEGO bricks. There’s also a raised platform with a slide that leads directly into a ball pit. Babies and toddlers can explore their own crawling area with blankets, pillows, rattles, and wooden toys. The crawling corner is located in the dining area, so parents can always stay close.

Homemade Cuisine and Weekend Brunch Buffet

While the children play, parents can enjoy homemade hot and cold dishes in the cozy dining area. The menu includes, for example, daily soups, sandwiches, and pasta dishes for adults, while children can choose between cornflakes with milk, homemade fruit quark, sausages, or chicken nuggets. Homemade cake, fresh waffles, or a warm apple turnover help satisfy sweet cravings. A visit on the weekend is particularly worthwhile: on Saturdays and Sundays, there is a breakfast buffet from 10:00 to 14:00, where parents pay 9.50 Euros, children aged two to six pay 2.50 Euros, and seven to twelve-year-olds pay 4.50 Euros. The café can also be booked for children’s birthdays, baptisms, and other family celebrations. Birthday parties and baptisms are welcome, with either individual tables or the entire café available for reservation. Practical: strollers, balance bikes, and bicycles can be stored in a separate parking area in the inner courtyard.
