Teekult (tea cult) near the old town of Spandau combines tea shop, tea time with afternoon cake and restaurant. The whitewashed little restaurant with integrated tea shop is only a three minutes walk from the underground station Altstadt Spandau. Walk along Carl-Schurz-Straße in the direction of the old Julius tower and you will see the Teekult (tea cult) at Mühlengraben, a water vein that flows around the old town of Spandau together with the river Havel. In summer you can enjoy your tea on the pretty little terrace, in autumn and winter you like to warm yourself inside with a nice cup of tea.

The tea house Teekult was opened in March 2017 and has continuously expanded the concept. Originally conceived as a tea shop, Teekult not only offers 112 tea varieties to enjoy, but also extraordinary cakes, such as the fruity Kalmansi cake (with the Asian citrus fruit of the same name) or the gluten-free cheesecake. In addition, a small selection of warm dishes is now also offered at lunchtime.

The menu is deliberately kept small, explains owner Ramona Marshall, paying attention to quality and fresh ingredients. The mango-coconut chicken with vegetable couscous looks appetizing and tastes fruity and delicious. The lunch menu changes weekly.

The tea can be enjoyed after a meal or a little later with a yummy cake. Teekult presents four different tea lines, among the most popular are "Classic" and "Trend". Classic" stands for classic black teas like Darjeeling, high-quality green teas and good white tea, "Trend" plays with flavoured teas like tropical gold with candied pineapple. Earl Grey or Earl Green with a strong bergamot note also belong to this line. In addition, there are the "Wellness" and "Herbal" teas, the latter quite classic like fennel, camomile, ginger or the tasteful Nana mint. The wellness teas do not contain caffeine, but beguile with aromas such as rose blossom and strawberry leaf.

The described tea varieties and many more can be purchased in the shop. Ramona Marshall brought tea culture from England. She is half English herself and has ventured into self-employment in Berlin. Teekult also organizes weddings, baptisms, birthdays and family celebrations.
