Jungbluth

In Steglitz, far away from the hustle and bustle of Mitte, Jungbluth serves new German haute cuisine at the highest level: vegetable-oriented, seasonal, and with products from Berlin, Brandenburg, and the German coasts. A historic corner restaurant with character, providing the perfect setting for special evenings.
JUNGBLUTH: Fine Dining Beyond the Usual Suspects
Consistently highly praised since 2015, Jungbluth continues the tradition of a corner house where, over 100 years ago, a wine bar attracted guests to its sunny terraces. The historic bar counter and the stucco that extends into the kitchen still bear witness to this today. Those who reserve a table here immediately feel that this place has substance. Owner and chef André Sawahn has been managing the restaurant with his team since February 2013. Before that, he gained experience in the award-winning restaurant Frühsammers, and this training is evident in every dish.
Cooking follows the rhythm of the seasons and is vegetable-oriented: vegetables set the tone, while special cuts of fish and meat add accents. This creates combinations that surprise without overwhelming. One clearly senses that cooking here is done with joy and enthusiasm, without unnecessary frills; the product itself takes center stage.
The Right Restaurant for Special Occasions in Berlin
The menu is deliberately kept manageable, with three starters, three desserts, two fish and two meat courses. Dishes can be ordered individually or as a menu, for example, four courses including wine pairing, water, and espresso for 105 Euros. Guests praise the excellent wine pairing and the loving presentation of the dishes. In addition, Jungbluth regularly offers winemaker evenings, Easter menus, as well as St. Martin’s goose and Christmas creations, which provide a stylish setting for celebrations. The host explains each course with great knowledge and passion, answers questions competently, and thus creates a closeness and transparency that truly makes the visit special. A restaurant for special occasions in Berlin that is not loud, but convincing.
