Strandbad Mitte has existed since the early 2000s and has since established itself as a fixture in the Scheunenviertel. Although its address at Kleine Hamburger Straße 16 is only a few minutes’ walk from Oranienburger Straße and Hackescher Markt, it feels significantly quieter. Those familiar with the area also appreciate Hackbarth’s on Auguststraße: one of the first cafés in Mitte after the fall of the Berlin Wall, also known for breakfast and homemade cake, and thus another reason to wander around this part of Berlin in the morning.
