The spa at The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin at Potsdamer Platz pulls out all the stops of a classic five-star establishment. Crystal ceiling over the pool, Finnish sauna, steam bath, and La Prairie treatments. Once you're in, you won't want to leave quickly.

The Spa at The Ritz-Carlton Berlin: Everything a Wellness Hotel Spa Needs

The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin opened in January 2004 as part of the Beisheim Centre, making it a fixture among the city’s wellness hotel spas for over two decades. In 2019, the hotel underwent a major renovation costing approximately 40 million Euros. The spa also benefited from this.

The approximately 400 square meter wellness area includes a pool, a sauna, a steam bath, and a fitness area. The swimming pool is located under a sparkling crystal ceiling. The pool area is open daily from 5 AM to 10 PM. The ensemble also includes a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, an area for hot stone treatments, and a relaxation area. In addition, there is a fully equipped fitness studio accessible around the clock. If you need more fresh air: The hotel also offers e-bikes and a guided jogging program through the Tiergarten.

Treatments, Prices, and Catering

Treatments include Relaxation Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Aromatherapy, Facials, as well as Body Scrubs and Body Wraps. The spa collaborates with the Swiss luxury brand La Prairie, which makes it particularly stand out among Berlin’s wellness hotel spas. Guests gain access to the Day Spa and Health Club, including the pool, sauna, and fitness area, via a day pass. Treatments are booked separately and arranged upon request. Current prices for massages and day passes are best obtained directly from the spa team, as they vary depending on treatment duration and season.

Regarding catering: Towels and refreshments are available free of charge at the spa, which we found to be a pleasant given. If you get hungry beyond that, you are well catered for. The POTS restaurant offers modern German cuisine, while the elegant The Lounge boasts high-quality teas and its own menu. Both are accessible for an additional charge, making them a worthy addition to a spa visit.
