In the heart of Charlottenburg, just a few steps from Kurfürstendamm, Hotel Q! houses one of Berlin's award-winning wellness hotel spas. Avant-garde design meets Far Eastern tranquility here. If you want to truly unwind after a long day in the city, this is the perfect place.
Zen Oasis since 2004: The Q! Spa in Charlottenburg
Hotel Q! opened in April 2004 and includes a lobby, lounge, and an in-house spa area. Since then, the Q! Spa has established itself as a firm fixture among wellness hotel spas in Berlin. Awarded as “one of the 5 best european spas” by GQ Magazine and as “one of best 10 city spa’s europe” by Vogue Magazine, that speaks for itself. The spa is located in the basement of the hotel and impresses with its unusual atmosphere. The small but exquisite wellness area of the City-Hotel Q! Berlin captivates with a skilful mixture of avant-garde design and traditional Asian ambience.
What really makes the Q! Spa stand out among hotel spas in Berlin is the famous sand room. In the sand room with white South Sea sand, heated loungers, light and sound effects, and the scent of essential oils pamper the senses. In addition, there is the “Japanese Washing Zone”, where traditional Japanese washings with essential oils are performed. There is also a Finnish sauna with 90°C and a steam bath. The Q! Gym completes the wellness area. The wellness area is open daily from 18:00 to 22:00.
Massages, Services, and Catering
There is truly a lot to discover in the Q! Spa’s massage offerings. The focus is on Far Eastern massages and relaxing treatments such as the Anti Jet Lag or Anti Headache Massage. A total of around 30 treatments are offered, including “Scen Tao of Asia” with relaxing Shiatsu massage, the Hot Chocolate Massage, the Deep Tissue Massage, the Hot Stone, and the Bali Royal Massage. The latter was, for us, the clear highlight compared to other hotel spas in Berlin. All massages are booked for an additional charge. The spa is open not only to hotel guests.
Hotel Q! also leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to culinary offerings. Guests can enjoy healthy, contemporary Thai dishes in the restaurant or relax at the stylish Fox Bar with a cocktail by the fireplace, and in summer, also in the green Fox Garden. However, food and drinks in the bar and restaurant are subject to a charge. So, if you want to have a drink after your wellness evening, you should plan some budget, which we found to be a very welcome addition after a long spa evening.
