The entrance to the Lützow Sauna is somewhat hidden in a courtyard at Lützowstraße 106 in Tiergarten. Once you’ve found it, you’ll keep coming back. Although the facility is no longer brand new, it is regularly renovated and maintained, and that’s exactly what gives it its charm. The Lützow Sauna has a special charm: although it has gotten a bit old, its old-fashioned appeal is precisely what makes it attractive. There’s no huge wellness landscape here, but rather authentic Berlin sauna culture, as it has been cultivated for decades.

Admission costs 22 Euros for two hours and includes a swimming pool, a steam room, two saunas, and a plunge pool. The swimming pool is 1.55 meters deep and heated to 32 degrees Celsius. The sauna and pool are textile-free zones, so swimwear can be left at home. If you forget a bathrobe or towel, both can be rented for an extra charge.

Infusions with essential oils and a small refreshment afterwards

The true heart of the Lützow Sauna are the infusions. The staff are experienced in handling infusions and essential oils, and regulars appreciate this. The sauna masters create dynamic and interesting infusion rituals that go far beyond mere sweating. It’s also worth checking out the snack menu: for a quick bite, there’s delicious salad or baked sheep’s cheese, and the soups are also highly recommended.

Certified therapists work in the massage area; appointments should be booked in advance. After the last sweat session, a bamboo garden in the courtyard also invites you to cool down. It is open Mondays and Tuesdays from 6 PM, Wednesdays to Sundays from 4 PM, each until midnight. A Berlin sauna that doesn’t need a big stage.
