High above the rooftops of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, with views of the Oberbaumbrücke and the Spree: The Gallery Rooftop Bar at Hotel Indigo Berlin combines panoramic views of Berlin's history with a stylish cocktail bar on the eighth floor, directly opposite the East Side Gallery.

Gallery Rooftop Bar: Where Berlin begins from above

The bar is perched on the eighth floor of Hotel Indigo Berlin, located between the East Side Gallery and the Uber Arena – a piece of the city steeped in history despite its recent development. From the terrace, the view stretches to the Oberbaumbrücke and along the Spree, while inside, a bright lounge area with floor-to-ceiling windows seamlessly transitions into the outdoor space. The atmosphere is both relaxed and polished, neither too pretentious nor arbitrary.

If you want a spot on the rooftop terrace, you should arrive early. The terrace cannot be reserved; sunset spots are given on a first-come, first-served basis. For tables in the indoor area, however, online reservations are possible. Access is conveniently provided by a dedicated elevator directly from the hotel lobby.

Cocktails with a Berlin Soul

The cocktail menu focuses on classic and reinterpreted creations inspired by Berlin’s history and complemented by regional spirits. Additionally, there are wine, beer, champagne, and non-alcoholic options. Small bar bites ensure that no one goes hungry.

In addition, the Gallery Rooftop Bar regularly hosts exclusive events, including DJ nights. If you want the venue all to yourself: The indoor area accommodates up to 120 guests, complemented by two outdoor terraces. This makes the bar suitable for larger private or business events. Overall, the Gallery Rooftop Bar is one of Berlin’s most compelling rooftop terraces, not because of the hotel behind it, but because of the view that unfolds before it.
