BachatAcademy Berlin

Berlin's first dance school specializing in Bachata is located in the heart of the Samariter Quarter in Friedrichshain and does exactly what its name promises: learning Bachata, from scratch and with a system. From free taster courses to teacher training, everything runs under one roof here.

BachatAcademy Berlin: Where Bachata Courses Get Structure

The BachatAcademy is Berlin’s first dance school exclusively specializing in Bachata. You notice it immediately. The course location is at Samariterstraße 34, right in Berlin-Friedrichshain. Those who have never danced before will find a particularly low-threshold entry here: A free taster lesson makes starting possible, completely without prior knowledge and without a dance partner.

The course model follows a clear logic. The 4-week modules always start in the first week of the month. Each level consists of several modules, each lasting four weeks, so that specific topics such as turns, body movement, or sensual techniques can be worked on. If you also just want to try it out, you can do that too: Additional courses such as Sensual Combinations, Bachata Sensual Technique, Ladystyle, or Musicality can be flexibly booked.

Intensive Classes, Teacher Training, and More

Those who want to dive deeper will also get their money’s worth. The Intensive Classes allow for focused work on specific topics and deepening Bachata technique within an intensive two-hour framework. Topics covered range from footwork and musicality to turning technique. Advanced dancers and aspiring dance teachers will also find a comprehensive offering in the Bachata Sensual Teacher Training: The training provides the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the fundamental techniques and principles of Bachata Sensual. Seminar days for 2025 include October 12, November 8, and December 14. Thus, BachatAcademy Berlin covers a range of courses that hardly any other Bachata school in the city offers with such consistency.
