In the "Weltrestaurant Markthalle," Christian Ulmen played Herr Lehmann from Sven Regener's novel of the same name.
The film adaptation of Sven Regener’s novel Herr Lehmann triggered a real hype around the location in Kreuzberg. But the great atmosphere was already a huge success even before the rush. And rightly so, because the beer and roast pork there taste great in reality too!
Other kitchen classics include Käsespätzle (cheese noodles) and Schnitzel. Additionally, a daily changing lunch menu and a small breakfast selection are offered. The evening menu is available from Monday to Friday between 16 – 23 o’clock.
Incidentally, the restaurant was founded around 1900. In a soothing atmosphere, one can enjoy a coffee or the menu offerings here. The walls are partly equipped with dark wood, complemented by simple tables and chairs. The Weltrestaurant simply appears timeless.
Another well-known setting from the Herr Lehmann trilogy, by the way, is the Prinzenbad in Kreuzberg.
