n.b.k. Artothek

If you love modern art but can't afford an original or love variety, you can simply borrow works of art from the Gallery n.b.k. Artothek in Berlin-Mitte.

The gallery n.b.k. Artothek lends real works of art - almost free of charge! The art association owns 4,000 works of art from the 20th and 21st centuries. The collection consists of paintings, sculptures, watercolour collages, prints and photographs. The n.b.k. Artothek organises exhibitions for public institutions, schools or companies.

What most people don't know: Also private persons from 16 years with a Berlin residence can borrow the treasures from the non-profit association for three months. The loan itself is free, only an insurance fee must be paid.

It is best to take a few hours to either browse through the huge archive yourself or to contact the competent staff of the Artothek, who will be happy to help visitors interested in art. The art association was founded in 1969 with the aim of communicating fine arts to a wider public.

n.b.k. also sees itself as a platform for the young art scene in Berlin. If you don't want to borrow anything, you can also visit the exhibition and the showroom free of charge.
