Schloss Gaußig: Sleep like in the 18th Century

Schloss Gaußig is one of the most stylish houses for a getaway in the Berlin area. The magnificent house in Palladian-Classical style, built around 1700 and redesigned around 1800, is situated amidst an almost 30-hectare landscape park. There are just 16 hotel rooms and suites available, all furnished with antiques and high-quality fabrics. Because the house is so small, an atmosphere is created that feels more like a private country estate than a hotel. Four-poster beds in the Victorian style, custom-made for the house, ensure sleeping comfort and set the romantic tone. Almost all rooms also offer views of the beautiful English landscape park. For breakfast, there is also a lavish sparkling wine breakfast, which fittingly starts the morning.

Wellness at the Castle: Sauna, Pools, and Pure Tranquility

The spa at Schloss Gaußig is one of the main reasons why wellness travelers gladly accept the somewhat longer journey from Berlin. The small but exquisite wellness area, spanning 500 square meters, is exclusively available to hotel guests. This is deliberately intended: guests are pampered exclusively in the sauna area, as external visitors are generally not allowed. Accordingly, it is very quiet there. Whether classic Finnish sauna, organic sauna, or the gentle warmth of the infrared Physiotherm system, it is always available. Those seeking refreshment afterward will find invigorating deluge showers, a plunge pool, and an ice fountain, as well as Kneipp basins. In addition, there are endless pools and a fitness room that complete the spa area. Massages, from back to full-body treatments, can also be booked.
