Rühstädt in Brandenburg is known as a “stork village”. In fact, Rühstadt is Germany’s village with the most storks and is situation in the nature conservation area River Elbe-Brandenburg Biosphere Reserve in Brandenburg.

This small but stylish hotel in a former castle is perfect for all romantics and those who are looking for relaxation in nature without sacrificing comfort. Behind the castle is a beautiful park with old trees. Behind it, the walker comes across the southern Elbe cycle path, which is ideal for walks and bike tours in the surroundings.

The spa area is small but fine and offers a sauna, a solarium and a relaxation room. On request, guests can book treatments such as massages and cosmetics. A little library is available for bookworms.

The hotel is small with a very private charm. 14 rooms are available, all individually furnished with beautiful carpets. Some rooms with four-poster beds offer a view of the castle park. For weddings or other special occasions there is also a suite on the upper floor with canopy bed and whirlpool as well as lateral park view to the water tower with stork nest.

Tip from the Top10 team: Since the Schlosshotel is located in the stork village, from May to August you can book a guided tour with a view of the many stork nests in the village. With a little luck you can watch the storks flying in. The tour can also be booked as a package with overnight stay. Families can also book a small holiday home directly opposite the castle.
